The Bhagavad Gita is the primary philosophical reference for millions of Hindus and non-Hindus around the world.  Bhagavad means ‘concerning the Supreme Being’ and Gita means ‘what is recited melodiously’. In English the title is “The melodious discourse of the Supreme Being”. Thousands of years old, Gita tells the story of a spiritual conversation that takes place on a battlefield moments before a civil war begins. The discussion is between Krishna, who portrays himself as the Supreme Being, and Arjuna, a warrior prince, who was anxious about the impending carnage. Krishna’s wise advice has touched the hearts of many by providing spiritual clarity in a world of confusion.
